• Distribution
They are mainly found in the Northern provinces of Vietnam. In the world they are found in Nepal, India and South China.
• Habitat
They live in bamboo forest, close to a river. They live in burrows which are around 20 meter deep in the ground.
• Behaviour
This Hog Badger is the biggest species of the badger family. The fur of the Hog Badger is yellow and the legs are short and muzzle, similar to a pig. In the wild the Hog Badger eats all kind of insects, wormd, bamboo and roots. In Hanoi Zoo they are fed fruit, insects and roots. The breeding season of this animal is in March and April. Three to five cubs are born each litter.
