• Distribution
They were found in Siberia, China, Japan and the northern part of Indochina, but because it was introduced to Russia the Raccoon Dog is spreading all over central Europe.
• Habitat
Usually the Raccoon Dog lives in woodlands and forests.
• Behaviour
This dark animal lives on his own. It is nocturnal, so in the daytime the Raccoon Dog is sleeping in his deep burrow digged on his own. The Raccoon Dog is omnivorous, that means that it eat everything. In Hanoi Zoo they are especially fed fruit and meat. The female usually give birth to six young each litter after a gestation time which is variable. The Raccoon Dog is an endangered species and is protected.
