GOOSE - Anatidae
They are found in Europe and Asia.
They use to live on marshlands, wetlands, grassland and also dry fields.
The Graylag Goose is the ancestors of the well known domestic goose.
It feeds on plants, tubers, grain and water-plants. In Hanoi Zoo they are fed vegetables and cereals.
The female will lay a nest of 3 to 8 eggs which incubates after 27 to 29 days. After 7 to 9 weeks te youngs become independent. Every year they migrate to other countries when the winter is coming and they are flying in the well known “V” form.
