• Distribution
The Little Egrets are found in Europe, southern Asia, Australia and Africa.
• Habitat
Usually theu are living in wooded areas nearby water like lagoons, ponds and marshlands.
• Behaviour
The Little Egret lives in colonies sometimes with more than one other species. The feed on small fish, insects and worms. In Hanoi Zoo they’re fed fish and shrimp, just like all other Herons. Nests are build in trees or bushes where the female will lay about 3 to 6 eggs which will incubate in 21 to 25 days. The hatchlings are raised by both the parents and will be on his own after about 30 days.
