• Distribution
In Vietnam the pheasant is found from the center of Vietnam to the south. For the rest in the world this species is found in Thailand and Indochina.
• Habitat
The Siamese Crested Fireback usually lives in many kind of forest which lays lower than 750m.
• Behaviour
The Siamese Crested Fireback builds a nest on the ground. They reach sexual maturity at an age of three. Usually the female lay about 5 to 8 eggs each clutch which will be incubated within 24 to 25 days. The size of the egg is about 48 x 38 mm. Like all the other pheasants, the Siamese Crested Fireback eats fruit, insects, worms and seeds. In Hanoi they breed really well.
